GCD 1: Houston, Texas, USA
14-16 April 2004)
Launching a concept conceived by Jeremy Solomons, participants from diverse backgrounds, interests and perspectives met in sunny springtime Houston to discuss equality, culture, individualism and stereotypes in an Open Space framework.
Among many other topics covered were the influences and effects of religion, stereotypes, national policy, networking, and the obligations and responsibilities of cultural emissaries and observers.
Three days of collective reflection and discovery created a platform for a next meeting. This first group of individuals gave their platform the initial name of the Global Diversity Dialogue.
